Structured wiring and cable cleanup for your home

Every cable has a place. And a label.

We run new Ethernet where you need it, clear out old cable along the way, and leave every line labeled and checked. Out of sight in the rooms, neat in the attic.

What you get

  • A wired connection where it counts. The home office, the TV, every access point and camera.
  • The old mess gone. Old cable along our route comes out and is set aside neatly. Anything else we remove on request.
  • Every line labeled at both ends. Anyone who opens the panel later knows what goes where.
  • Every line checked. We check each run end to end before we leave, and walk you through the result.
  • A map of where it all goes. You get a simple plan of every cable run, so the next change to the house doesn’t start with guesswork.

Why wire at all, when there’s Wi-Fi?

Things that don’t move, like a desk, a TV, an access point or a camera, work best on a cable: full speed, no dropouts. It also leaves the Wi-Fi free for phones and laptops.

How we install

  • Cat6 cable for every new run.
  • Through the attic, the crawlspace and inside the walls. When we need to open a wall or ceiling, we close it up neatly afterwards.
  • Jacks and wall plates matched to the ones already in your house.
  • Bundled and fastened in the attic and crawlspace, where no one looks. Loose cable gets damaged, and damaged cable drops the connection.
  • Every hole through an exterior wall sealed.

Questions

Do you need to open walls?

Usually not. Most runs go through the attic and the crawlspace. When a wall or ceiling does need opening, we close it up neatly afterwards.

Can you remove old, unused cable?

Yes. Old cable along the route we’re working on comes out as part of the job and is set aside neatly. Removing old cable elsewhere in the house is available on request.

What cable do you use?

Cat6 for every new Ethernet run. It carries full-speed home internet with room to spare, and powers cameras and access points over the same cable.

Will I get a record of where the cables go?

Yes. You get a simple map of every run, and each cable is labeled at both ends.

Will the new wall plates match my outlets?

Yes. We match jacks and wall plates to the ones already in your house.
